A functional multi-level office building located in the heart of Nelson City. Naturally ventilated, flooded with daylight, and imbued with the warmth of exposed mass timber construction, a work environment becomes a practice home full of natural light.
The development of 15 new teaching spaces at Waimea College is the first time a mass timber solution to this extent has been utilised for a public sector college in New Zealand. Incorporating flexibility within/between learning spaces is a key driver for this project, alongside affordability, robustness, and weathertightness.
This was a project to complete a refurb on one of Nayland College's 1960s Two-Story "H" Block buildings. This included the removal of two internal stairwells, with new external stairs to be fitted.
A design and build 3000 m2 truck repair centre situated on a 7000 m2 site. The project consisted of concrete floors with multiple truck pits, structural steel, colorsteel roofing with a 30 metre span, a mezzanine floor, and an 800 m2 office suite separated from the workshop with fire-rated walls.
