Where it all began

Fitzgerald Construction Ltd was incorporated in December 1997. The business has grown rapidly and is now recognised and respected as one of the most successful building and construction firms in the Nelson area.

The company’s success is a direct result of the founder Stephen Fitzgerald’s knowledge and understanding of the industry and his appreciation and unrelenting commitment to quality. Stephen was ideally equipped to establish a successful building company after working in the building industry since 1983. As a qualified carpenter his skills and aptitude were soon recognised, resulting in a rapid migration through the ranks from tradesman to foreman and contracts manager.

Those years of experience have provided Stephen with the expertise, insight and organisational skills to succeed. The management team and staff understand and adhere to his simple but essential principles that ensure projects are successful. Construction undertaken by Fitzgerald Construction Limited is always extremely well planned, well organised and effectively managed. We apply this approach to any job we do, whether it be large or small. We are not too big to do the smaller jobs and pride ourselves on being approachable and friendly to deal with.
